A penumbral eclipse of the Moon occurs on Wednesday 24 November, 2523 UT, with maximum eclipse at 07:29 UT. In a rare total penumbral eclipse, the entire Moon will be partially shaded by the Earth (though none of it will be in complete shadow), and the shading across the Moon should be quite visible at maximum eclipse. The penumbral phase will last for 4 hours and 28 minutes in all, though for most of it, the eclipse will be extremely difficult or impossible to see.
