A penumbral eclipse of the Moon occurred on 7 August, 0506 BC UT Old Style, with maximum eclipse at 23:31 UT. In this extremely marginal eclipse, the Moon barely clipped the edge of the Earth's penumbral shadow. This caused a microscopic darkening of just 17% of the Moon's disc for 1 hour and 59 minutes, which was essentially impossible to see.

The penumbral eclipse lasted for 1 hour and 59 minutes. Maximum eclipse was at 23:31:08 UT.
