A penumbral eclipse of the Moon occurred on 18 January, 1714 BC UT Old Style, with maximum eclipse at 22:34 UT. This very subtle penumbral eclipse was essentially invisible to the naked eye; though it lasted 2 hours and 37 minutes, just 31% of the Moon's disc was in partial shadow (with no part of it in complete shadow).

The penumbral eclipse lasted for 2 hours and 37 minutes. Maximum eclipse was at 22:34:59 UT.
