A penumbral eclipse of the Moon occurred on 28 May, 0893 BC UT Old Style, with maximum eclipse at 07:13 UT. In this extremely marginal eclipse, the Moon barely clipped the edge of the Earth's penumbral shadow. This caused a microscopic darkening of just 14% of the Moon's disc for 1 hour and 49 minutes, which was essentially impossible to see.

The penumbral eclipse lasted for 1 hour and 49 minutes. Maximum eclipse was at 07:13:09 UT.
