A penumbral eclipse of the Moon occurred on 13 July, 1117 BC UT Old Style, with maximum eclipse at 17:51 UT. In this extremely marginal eclipse, the Moon barely clipped the edge of the Earth's penumbral shadow. This caused a microscopic darkening of just 19% of the Moon's disc for 2 hours and 5 minutes, which was essentially impossible to see.

The penumbral eclipse lasted for 2 hours and 5 minutes. Maximum eclipse was at 17:51:08 UT.
