A penumbral eclipse of the Moon occurred on 4 February, 1797 BC UT Old Style, with maximum eclipse at 18:57 UT. This very subtle penumbral eclipse was essentially invisible to the naked eye; though it lasted 2 hours and 32 minutes, just 31% of the Moon's disc was in partial shadow (with no part of it in complete shadow).

The penumbral eclipse lasted for 2 hours and 32 minutes. Maximum eclipse was at 18:57:42 UT.
