Accuracy

Due to the erratic rotation of the Earth, the time and location of the eclipse cannot be forecast perfectly. This eclipse's time is estimated to be accurate ± 3m19s (with 95% confidence). This equates to an error in longitude of ± 0.83 degrees, or around ± 91 km (57 miles) at the latitude of greatest eclipse.

A penumbral eclipse of the Moon occurred on 6 April, 0692 UT Old Style, with maximum eclipse at 22:31 UT. In this extremely marginal eclipse, the Moon barely clipped the edge of the Earth's penumbral shadow. This caused a microscopic darkening of just 5% of the Moon's disc for 1 hour and 1 minute, which was essentially impossible to see.

The penumbral eclipse lasted for 1 hour and 1 minute. Maximum eclipse was at 22:31:45 UT.
