A penumbral eclipse of the Moon occurred on Wednesday 1 December, 1694 UT (21 Nov, 1694 Old Style), with maximum eclipse at 16:54 UT. In this extremely marginal eclipse, the Moon barely clipped the edge of the Earth's penumbral shadow. This caused a microscopic darkening of just 18% of the Moon's disc for 2 hours and 10 minutes, which was essentially impossible to see.

The penumbral eclipse lasted for 2 hours and 10 minutes. Maximum eclipse was at 16:54:21 UT.
