A penumbral eclipse of the Moon occurs on Wednesday 10 May, 2237 UT, with maximum eclipse at 23:36 UT. In this extremely marginal eclipse, the Moon barely clips the edge of the Earth's penumbral shadow. This will cause a microscopic darkening of just 9% of the Moon's disc for 1 hour and 30 minutes, which will be essentially impossible to see.

The penumbral eclipse lasts for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Maximum eclipse is at 23:36:37 UT.

During this eclipse the Moon will be just 3 days past apogee, making it fairly small. At maximum eclipse it will be 0.502° in apparent diameter, which is 5.5% smaller than average.
